Graphics
While I've always been a programmer, I do have the ability to work with graphics, especially when it is related to the web. I think the fact that I can program is the main reason I'm not usually employed as a Graphic Artist. But, I have been using Photoshop for longer than I have been programming (professionally.) I was first introduced to it when I worked at CompUSA, we had a souped-up Mac on the display floor that had Photoshop 3 (I believe) on it. I fell in love with it. On any slow day you could find me at the Mac playing with Bryce and Photoshop. Later, as I began building web pages, it became my tool of choice for graphical editing & manipulation.
These days I spend most of my time in graphical suites mainly to cut up graphics for the web. It is rare that I am the designer, but I have no problem doing it, and enjoy working in that area. Whether you have a vague idea in mind of what you want your website to look like, or if you have graphical layouts in hand that just need to be cut up, I can make it come to fruition.
I also know my way around Illustrator and Gimp.
